In the tradition of Perfumers from ancient times, Perrin Cottage Perfumery

recreates historic fragrances, along with exceptional custom blends.

Striving to be as historically accurate

as possible, Rebecca researched within the Archival Collection of Perfume Bottles

at Colonial Williamsburg.

Special Arrangements were made to view     the originals which have been excavated within the Historic Area - or purchased to supplement the Museum Collection.

Pharmaceutical Bottles in the 18th century were blown into a mold, so that the exterior and interior dimensions were uniform - and the volume of the contents was consistent.

After years of searching,

she was able to find the closest thing

that is currently being made today

that resembles the original bottles in size, internal contents and general aesthetic.

Hopefully you'll agree!
